I need information about this camera. I search bared it and all that came up was someone selling one in like feb 2005. Please Help me

to put it simple....dont buy it.

you can get other hidef cameras with the same quality for muuuuuuuch cheaper (im talking $1000 cheaper)

I don't think you can get and HD cam a $1000 cheaper than an XL1. The cam is a few years old and the price drops on it every month. If you wanted to get a very good camera for less than a grand buy a vx1000. If you like canon go for the gl2. You get alot more for what you pay than you would with the xl1.

the XL1 isn't HD.

and any good HD cam is gonna cost around $8,000

there are minidv hidef cameras for about 2000.

xl1's are like 3000 and the xl2 is from 3500 to 4000

i think its a prety sick cam, kinda bulky for follows and stuff, but you can shoulder it nice and steady probally.

well personally i wouldnt want it. its too much of a hassle cause its so big. plus bringing that shit to the ski hill is gona suck

u dont need a hd cam. all of u kids want one becuz of level one n shit. dont waste your time when your just making park edits.

Its not a hi def camera. Im getting it brand new for cheaper than a GL2 or almost every 3CCD camera. Im not gonna ski much park next year maybe only like 10 days and slopestyle comps. I don't really care about weight because I can ski with like a 25 pound pack on so it's not a problem. Im just wondering about how it films and the quality.

K, its not a HD camera. I skied 6 days of park last year. I dont care what Level 1 films with. I spent 30 days last year in the backcountry.

if you willing to spend like 1000 bucks then go for the new sony handycam that has still and video images or the new sony hard drive cam but i dont know what it is called

Almost every camcorder has still and video images. And I only want a mini DV camera.

There is almost no point in buying an HD camera. You would be much better off with a high quality miniDV cam (XL1, GL2, VX1000) than the lowest end HD cam.
