Cheapest Season Pass for college students?

I'll be attending the U this up coming year and wanted to know where the best deal on Season Passes is at. I heard the the Canyons had cheap season passes for college kids but I'm never seen it confirmed. I'd prefer the Canyons, Park City, Brighton or Snowbird.

I will be attending the U as a transfer student as well, I am getting a pass to Snowbird, they can stay open longer then the other resorts because they own the land. I might be getting a pass to The Canyons as well so I can meet up with my buddy who lives in PC. I believe the best deal you are going to get is through http://www.freeskiersociety.com/. Go to one of there booths and sign up. Hope this helps.

No way alta has shitty snow but it does have a short season. Why do the other resorts not own the land and who makes them close?

Park City is $350...get that if you're a park rat.  If you want terrain, get a Snowbird chairs pass for $380.  Go through the Utah Freeski Society.

Wow $350 at Park City. That's not bad at all. I thought it would a lot more considering it is the most well known. And there is no way Alta has any worse snow than snowbird considering they are right next to each other and alta is further up the canyon.

Nice....... How do i contact the Utah Freeski Society? Will they advertise meeting, etc. once classes start? And didn't snowbird put that new lift/tunnel thing in, so you can get to the top without taking the tram? That would be amazing, but if not, i think it's worth it to spend the extra $ for the tram.

And, for those of you who have been out there for awhile, do you think it's neccesary for me to get Snowbird, Brighton, and Park City? I'd love a few days in Pick 'n Shovel and the big park at PC, and Brighton has a night park, and i really like the scene there, but don't know if it's worth it to drop all the money on multiple ski areas. I'm sure i could spend an entire season just on one lift at Snowbird, seeing as i'm coming from a hill with 350 vertical, and not much except for a killer park.

The UFS will probably set up a table or something, yeah.  They usually do a premier or two in the fall. 

You've always been able to get to the top on the chairs (Gadzoom to Little Cloud) at the Bird.  The new tunnel thing will just be faster.  I had a chairs pass last year, and it was fine.  It really just depends on what your friends have...because if they have a tram pass and you don't, they'll probably ditch you...and if you have a tram pass and they don't, you'll get stuck riding the chairs with them. 

If you plan to ski a lot and can afford 3 passes, I think it would be worth it.  That's what I want...PC/Brighton/Bird...or maybe Alta.  PC is a given because it's the only place with big jumps.  Brighton has a nice vibe and would be fun on days when you just want to chill, hit some drops, jib some cool stuff.  And LCC is unbeatable on a pow day...but I think I might just do PC/Brighton this year and drop the $400 I would have spent on a Bird pass on avy gear instead, so I can chill on Superior.  Wooooord.

Not at all in fact. I come from Pennsylvania where it costs $350 for a season pass to a 750 foot vertical mountain. It's the largest in PA so they think they can charge a lot but it's outrageous. I thought that season passes out there costs well over $500 and I assumed PC would be over a $1,000. I don't plan on getting more than one, but if PC is only $350 then I'll just go there. It's the best all around resort with the best park. The Bird has good terrain, and the Canyons wouldn't be bad either but PC is prob. the best.

What would most people recommend? The tram or chair pass. What is the time difference between taking chairs and taking the tram up to the top? When I was at the Bird it seemed like the lines for the tram were ridiculous while the lines for the chairs were not that bad. Seems like it would even out. Although on bad storm days the tram would probably be nice. I need some opinions and any other pertinent info. Thanks.

The tram is a waste. Hiking through the lodge alone takes a lot of time.

I think this is silly. If you're only gonna get one pass, i wouldn't make it a PC pass. Reasons.... 1) Not as good as other places, unless you're a park rat. They have a sickj park, but not much else. Snowbird has amazing terrain, and a good enough park. Same with Brighton. 2) Shorter season. I think they closed in April Last year, when Snowbird stayed open into June.

When PC charges 82$ or whatever for a lift ticket, they can afford to charge college students cheap for a pass. And i'm sure they make a killing from lodging, etc.

In Pennsylvania, park is all anyone really does. I'm def. only getting one season pass becasue for one I can only afford one and two one resort is about 10 times more terrain than I'm used to show it should be plenty. If I were to consider anything else other than PC I'd def. consider the Bird. Because it has a longer season and the terrain is decent.

No shit.  I'm from Pa., too.  And your mountain doesn't have the most vertical, Blue Knob has over 1000, lolzzzz.  But the sarcasm meter post was in reference to the snow at Alta stuff.  I give up on you.

7 Springs doesn't have the longest vertical, but it is the largest in PA. The lodge is huge and is more built up than Blu Knob or any other resort.

I've always been told that the locals stay out of PC because it was mainly a tourist attraction. I've skied both and honestly I don't see what everyone has againt the PC resorts, I think they are just as good if not better.

im gonna get the PC pass but i also have a chance to get an alta pass for 99 bucks. should i get that or just go for the snowbird pass?? snowbird was sick as fuck when i skiied it this season. PC was lame except for the park

All I'm saying is they call themselves the largest resort, because it makes the most money, has the most skiable acres and is all around the largest ski operation going on in the state. And actually, it hink it is better than Blue Knob. They inventing snowmaking so all the slopes are always open.

It cost me $350 for a season pass to the 230ft tall Mt Brighton(from Aspen Extreme) so this is pretty good.

tram is worth it for shizz. time difference depends on the day. on a midweek storm day, the tram is the best place to be in utah. on weekends and during holiday season, tram blows. luckily for me i know most of the tix scanners well at tram, and know of a certain shortcut so i dont have to wait in that ridiculous line, pretty much budgin in front of a line up to 200 deep. the tram (not including waiting in line) is seven minutes, "round the world" (gadzoom to little cloud)is a good 15-20 without time addition for line waiting. you gotta have patience to rock the tram.

Those were last season's prices, they've gone up, It's now $395 for PC. Anyway, When you get to the U join freeskiers club or talk to a rep from one of the ski resorts, they can hook you up with discounts. But PC is definately the cheapest if you get the discount.
