this whole conflict is very humorous and im enjoying watching shots of israel and hezbollah lob rockets at each other, The US needs to keep a bi partisan and level headed approach and make sure iran does not get involved creating a widespread middle eastern conflict, which could happen
Atlantaski you manage you prove yourself an idiot every time you post. I don't know how you do it, but you manage. The US won't keep a level headed approach and Iran will not be involved. Iran has nothing to do with Lebanon. If anything, the only countries getting involved would be Syria, Egypt, and Jordan.
actually you are the idiot, iran is one of the primary backers of hezbollah, who maintain a fairly strong presence in the lebanese government. Iran has already issued threats of military action against israel if further incursions and attacks against lebanon continue. Also hezbollah is transferring their israeli hostages to iran for safekeeping, so either you are just uninformed or just stupid
Yes I am very stupid. Iran has ALWAYS threatened Isreal. They are transferring them to Iran because all of their real allies are too close to Isreal. Iran will not be getting involved with their military.
Please give me the info where you have found they are going to give the prisoners to Iran too. I'm pretty sure right now they don't know what they are going to do with them.
panic! at the disco is comming to downtown indianapolis...the murat theater (so i cant go, if you read the thread about me and the fray) soon...but i heard nothing about them playing in lebanon...i dont think there are any big venus in lebanon...well noblesville has verison center, but thats kinda far...
you must have not listened to the most recent speech from Mahmoud Ahmadinejad,he could be just threatening israel with hostilites like how he has previously, however due to the current situation, military action from an newly confident iran shouldnt be overlooked.....all im saying is that if this isnt curtailed soon, it has the potential of pitting syria, iran, hezbollah, and hamas vs israel, and perhaps a small nato/US contingent. This scenario is troubling due to the over extension of US troops currently, which could weaken NATO/EU/US efforts at fighting the insurgency in Afghanistan and IRAQ
Personally, I am perfectly intransigent in thinking that Israel could fight off all of those countries if necessary. I still don't believe anyone knows what they are doing with the prisoners, and we as Americans definately don't have a clue.
Iran is confident, yes, but if they take up against Israel they have a rude awakening coming. I don't think the US will get involved unless Israel is in desperate need of help. They will sit in meetings and try to keep the peace, that's about it.
simple put: you don't fuck with Israel, they are a bunch of crazy basterds. Hopefully they go on a rampage and flatten the middle east, but then the news would get boring so meh.
ATL...you actually seem to be well informed on this subject....yet you make all your intelligent comments invalid when you post shit like: "this whole conflict is very humorous and im enjoying watching shots of israel and hezbollah lob rockets at each other"
the US vetoed a UN proposal to stop Israel's attacks. in other news, wikipedia users have their work cut out for them as they scramble to redefine and accomdate the entry "imperialism"
The Syrian abasador was on CNN demanding that the US fix everything with diplomacy. His words were "fufill your role as a superpower US". Im frustrated with that statement, apparently we can do no right. If we take action, we are wrong. If we abstain, we are wrong. Fuck you world, im tired of being your bitch!!!
dude i talk to my brother in lebanon and he said the he could hear the bombings at the airport and shit and the now i'm probably not gunna be able to go because the airport is closed
i think that its bullshit how we just have our heads in the sand regarding this conflict. Rather than finding a pragmatic solution that would heighten arab's image of us(by brokering a peace deal, telling israel to step down, giving humanitarian aid to the lebanese and palistinian people) we are just showing our hypocrisy by letting our "allies" ( mossad has an active program to spy on US military interests) oppress and ravish sovreign nations.
And in all honesty, when I saw you had posted I expected the standard anti-american/anti-israeli "america is a slave to the jews" shit that you are famous for.
So far the death toll has been 2 Lebanese soldiers and 63 civilians (how many of those civilians are part of Hezbolah?) and four isreali civilans ad eight isreali soilders.
How do you know that those civilians were part of Hezbollah? I was stating generally what the media and army displays as casualties. A civilian is anyone who is UNARMED and not participating in armed fighting. They don't specefically have to be in the army, because right now the Lebanese army is in shambles. The army is also Hezbollah controlled, but the government really isn't. Hezbollah only holds 23/128 seats in the government.
