I just had some beers with the old man. It's the best.

For my grade 12 graduation thing this year my dad gave me an old style English beer mug from Birkes. It's so rad. It has my initials and my graduating year on it (2006). My dad has the exact same one from when he graduated (30 years prior to my graduation), and so we had a couple and talked on the backyard portch.

I don't know about anyone else, but it's rad spending time with the father. Shout Out to all the fathers. That's what this is about and congrats to any fathers out there, hopefully one day I can be a rad dad just like my own dad, who happens to be pretty rad.

dude iv kicked back a few with my old man and its deffinatly pretty cool. I was just sitting out by my dock at my cabin and he came out with a few cold ons. We just chilled and drank the beers. Talked about his old ski bum days and how much it agravates my mom that it looks like im following in his footsteps.  Then when we were done we just went back to the bonfire that was  goining on out back. It was a super chill time

Drinking with family is the best time in the whole world.
I love hanging with the fam. It's so good.
Weddings, christmas, and big birthdays only happen like once a year or two.

yea i drink with my dad too, i feel bad alot of the time because i can be pretty dick to him, but then i get sad thinking that my time with my dad is limited and he's only around so much, so its good to take advantage and appreciate him

I agree, spending time with ones pops it a blast. I try to make time to hang out with him atleast once a week and have a beer togeather. My pops is really cool and down to earth, he always has something interesting to say, or a joke to tell.

Yeah my dad is cool. Once during spring break he is like come on lets go. Im like where are we going he said you'll find out. We end up going to Six Flags in Jersey. It was awesome. But sadley my mom and dad are getting divorsed so I wont get to see my dad as much

spending time with my dad isnt too bad.  he can be a huge dick to me, and threatened to kick me out of the house a few weeks ago, but i get treated so much better than anyoen else in my family.  i guess being the smart one has its benefits, and when i spend time with him, its usually golfing, which is fun. 

and to sir holland or whoever you are, dont go looking for sympathy if you are a dick to everyone else.  if you want sympathy, dont go for it on a website because kids will be a dick to you no matter what

whats not to believe, that we arent giving sympathy to a kid on the internet.  if i knew him, it might be different, but seeing as this is ns and im not too happy right now, and i would back mitch up on most things, i just dont care at all right now.

My dad's the best; one of my best friends. He'll bring me anywhere to a concert (he likes the same music too), a lacrosse game, a hockey game, etc. We went 12 hours to see DMB play with Galactic 2 years ago and he was gona bring me to Bonnaroo but my math teacher wouldn't let me take my Jr year exam early (bitch). My dad even learned to play hockey and lacrosse when I was a kid so he could play with me and coach and help me out. He's a musician too so he comes to every show I play (never missed a hockey/lacrosse game either) and he roadies! And we ride our motorcycles together alot. haha wow, long post.

i feel like i should explain further. when i was little i used to be best friends with my dad or whatever. he brought me to all my soccer and hockey games and tournaments. never missed a game. as i got older i started to grow apart from him because i saw how he wasn't how i pictured when i was little. he is more anti social than anyone and is impossible to please. even in sports, just kept pushing me too hard to the point where i hated it. yet he still has the nerve to tell me i quit and gave up. ya know what he said to me after i had an absolutely horrible states game? "congratulations alex, your the worst on your team, even so and so kid is better than you." fucker. then i started seeing how he hated my brother no matter what my brother did to try to make him happy. now that my brother is gone i am taking his place. arguing all the time. cant do anything to make him happy. and to top it off he has a drinking problem that i used to always get caught in. whenever i say something positive or comeplement him he turns it around into something negative. he doesn't even see it, he thinks hes completely normal. fuck that.

My dad can  be an ass. My parents are divorced and I switched custody from my mom to my dad awhile ago. He went to court and proceeded to say how my mom was unfit, couldn't keep a job/house...He is a control freak. He has a rule:Never say no. So I can never disagree with him, he is always right. He brings politics into everything, and is a republican to the death. He makes me walk places. Oh and once I made strawberry short cake and didn't "serve" it to him soooo he didn't talk to me for 2 days except for to say I was a selfish brat. Sorry for the rant.
