i really didnt care too much if people used poles or not until now.
in the show and prove trailer kye takes flailling of the arms to a whole new level.

i think park skiing will come to using no poles. i love poles and cant think of ever giving them up, but i can see it happening.

Kye didn't use poles cause he broke his wrist really badly. Turpin was telling me that at High North when we where watching the S&P trailer. I dunno if it's so bad he'll never be able to use poles or w/e but that's why he didn't this season

haha yeaah cant forget Pete Mithoehoffer in Stereotype, Pollard and Mahre as well. I never saw ZachD pull it off but im sure he can. No poles is becoming more popular cuz more people are startin to realize how much it helps with style and balance. It also mixes up skiing and makes the day different which is what freeskiing "was" all about. I dont know if its all about that anymore according to this site.

Kye is a GAY. Hes a fag for not using poles. he has no style and anyone who thinks skiing without poles is cool is a gay. how can you even say that? it doesn't matter how old Kye is, he sucks as a skier and can't do shit except cork 7s, and even those look like the gay. what a pussy, i would love to see him on the hill and push him onto a rail. skiings not about "doing whatever you want", its about tradition and skill. ski poles are just a part of using good learned skills to ski. any idiot can skiboard down the mountain without poles. what a fag gay

pyramid is only 80 feet and i dunno if you saw the video of it but their inrun was so perfect and so was there jump. it would be retarded if he didn't hit it.

kye may not look that steezy but he is just kaing the best out of a shitty situation.
my prediction is that when his wrist heals he will be pretty sick with poles, the no-pole training will serve him well i think.

wow, you guys just dont see past the movie segments do you? just because he does not have a s/w nine in is segment or something does not mean that he cant do one, he just has not progressed far enough to do one off bc jump, hes still young, and all the more props to him for pullin off a segment year after year, theres a reason that tanner and cr have him on there roster, cork 7's? i imagine in any of the new ski movies this year that many skiers will have segments with lotsa cork 7's, so does that make kye any different than any of them? you try doing anything, i mean anything off many of those jumps there hitting. many of you guys seem, no are jealous of him and his sponsorships etc. so what? who cares? good job for him! does he deserve his posistion on many teams? yes! else he wouldnt be where he is! the poles: i wish poles didnt exist cause they cause such a stupid controversy within this community: do what you like! dont put other people down about being or looking different! i for one am getting more and more bored with the never changing styles of skiers, be original, dont follow the pack! (i know it might sound like im contradicting myself from before on kye, but thats just his segment, not everything else that he can ski and do on the mountain.) for all you kids that want to get sponsored so badly, thats what will matter to sponsores. look at snowboarding, yes people care about what they wear, but they dont form to the "normal" style like everyone else
last point: i have the utmost respect for kye, good luck to him this season!

your a fag from the midwest who can in no way talk shit on kys History. His dad was one of the best big mountain skiers ever, The kid does cork 7s of 40 foot Fukin cliffs and rips BIG MOuntain , Life isnt about park fag boy maybe in the midwest where there are no mountains and thats all you have to do is hit an icy table over and over again. Big mountain takes way more skill than park. And kys is sick at big mountain and kilss park I have personaly seen him do cork 9s and Huge Cab cork 7s. Who gives a shit if hes skied with no poles its his life he gets paid to ski you dont Get over it.
