Replying to Surfboard Question

hey guys I just got a used AL Merricks shortboard (6'6)

being used it received some damage which was fixed, so theres a spot down the middle of the board thats a differnt color of plexiglass. now I want to paint the whole board to really make it my own. so my question is do any of you have any tips for surfboard painting. any specific brands of paint work well. any spcific type of clear coat.

I plan to ride this board so I would like it to be pretty resistant
