Well, I just went to Menards and bought some PVC, a 2x4, and some screws. They boys at the store told me that this idea would work:
use regular screws on the main body of the PVC by screwing them up throught the 2x4 and into the PVC, but not all the way through. On the ends, the recommended using screws, but also bolts, so it would be more secure.
