Blaming everything on Global Warming has to stop!

I was watching CNN and they were doing a special report on forest fires and had "scientist" trying to blame an increase in forest fires on Global Warming. Everytime a natural occurence starts to increase, people need to stop always looking at global warming for the answer. Forest Fires are a natural occurence that see increases and decreases from year to year, just because their are a few more this year doesnt mean that Global warming is causing it. All I want is for people to start thinking about what is going on instead of just always blaming it on Global Warming.

you know how forrest fires start? when lightning strikes trees in areas with dry dead wood lying around. statistics show that in the past few decades, storms have become increasingly powerful and slightly more reoccuring. due to more storms and more powerful storms, this increases the chance of lightning striking a dead tree to begin a fire. its a whole cycle man.

The Communist News Network and liberals dont have any hurricanes to blame Global Warming on so they are looking to other NATURAL occurences. Last year at this time we had already had 5 hurricanes and so far this year we have had one tropical depression. I agree with you, next probably there will be a decrease in forest fires.

what do you mean? an increase in forest fires can be directly related to global warming....specially ehre in whistler, i am unemployed right now becasue there is an extreme fire hazard and i work in the forest so they are afraid we might start fires so we can't work right now.
global warming makes it hotter and dryer in the summer here.....resulting in greater fire risk and more forest fires.

No, no no no no. Forest Fires can have many attributes. Camp fires, ciggarrettes, lightning, and other human activites are the most popular causes of forest fires. Most forest fires are caused by humans. Bullshit on the storms. The storms the past century have been remarkably weaker than before. The storms pre-20th century were worse than what we are seeing now. I don't see more forest fires and stronger lightning storms as a result of global warming.
