building a backyard jump????

OK i just got like 3 in of snow and we are getting like 4 more tonight. Today i went out and built a pretty nice kicker with a flat landing from shoveling all the snow in my yard into a pile... however when i tried to hit it i didn't have nearly enough speed even with a starting ramp. I poled it and tried to get as much speed as possible but still didn't even get off the ground. My yard has a very very gradual decline so i thought if i built a starting ramp i should be fine but i am still having problems getting speed. Any advice?

find a hill or something, or just push like hell or have someone shove you

yeh...my friends yard is the same way..just a slight downslope with no where to get goin..so we checked up in the phone book and looked for construction renting and we leased a bobcat for 2 days for about 120$ and we made a 20 foot high starter and a 17 foot table all made with dirt. it was worth the money so look it up.

find lots or crap and through in in to a huge pile (tabels trees ect) then cover it with snow if you make it big enough you will get plenty of speed

get two friends to slingshot u off the starting ramp, or if u have one friend, have him push you until he collapses, then pole the rest of the way

alright, start by goin out and getting some 4 by 4 in poles and putting them in the ground and 2 by 4s and put plywood up. cover the plywood in snow and u have a ramp. If not u can make it off ur house. that always works. Tractor works well too.

tow ins with a go kart are easy as hell and not as expensive as snowmobiles or 4wheelers. just try to run it off to the side on pavement if thats possible.

Maybe the snow isnt fast? If thats the problem try using some ROCK salt and spreading it all over the in run. It will turn to ice and prolly make it alot quicker.
