Every year i get at least one bad burn on my back...am i like guaranteed skin cancer when i get older?

according to a dermatology pamphlet i read a couple years ago, if you get three large burns (like your back) that peel, your chances of getting skin cancer double. As for me, that statistic and the fact that skin cancer runs in my family spell out my certain skin cancer doom. With any luck they'll have a cure by the time i get it.
