just got back from costa rica and i got me some cohibas. i live in the US so this is kind of a big deal. im pumped to smoke them. i got them for a good price too. yay
i got some cubans while i was on a cruise last year, and i thought i was so bad ass, but when i went to smoke em with some homies, i didnt have a cigar cutter, so make sure you have one cuz if you try to use a knife or scissors it ends up disasterous haha
thank god you didnt- anyone who smokes fine cigars uses a punch so you dont get the shitty part of the wrapper- my dad smokes a few a month- he gets boxes of cubans smuggled in thru his company- Cohibas are great - but my favorite cigar of all time has to be Padron `1964 anaversario- such a beautiful cigar- Nicaraguan leaves ftw!
You can get good cigars that aren't from Cuba. A lot of Cuban cigar companies actually moved to other countries in either central america or other caribbean islands after the embargo got put in so they could still sell to the U.S. That said, Cuban cigars tend to be crazy as hell.
this is true but still, any real cigar smoker knows that its not only the company that makes them so good, its the soil and land that the leaves were grown in.
have smoked cubans in the past but im sure they were nock of or cheapos, i did smoke a hand rolled in mexico, where i watched the guy roll it in front of me putting TLC in every single wrap, it was still moist and the perfect consistency, best cigar i have smoked hands down and for only 10 bucks a great deal imo
