stiff tail, soft nose, great size waist.
i rode them this year, not really hard, but i beat the shit out of them (riding over rocks, sliding around on gravel/pavement) they are still holding up, topsheet looks great (bases, not so much, but no shit)
definitely a great ski, im still riding them and they are the first ski i own from k2. they are awesome and opened my eyes to how great k2 is after riding lines (but thats another story)

would the stiff tail be result of not snapping the backs off for backseat landindings or is it just one of those unknown things

i dont make the ski, k2 does, and thats how they made them...stiff tail (ollie power/stability) soft nose (flex/butters)

no i was wonderin if they (k2) made the tails stiffer to prevent breaking on backseat landings or what... i mean there has to be a reason for the tails to be stiffer

haha i thought the whole ski was stiff as hell...but then again i have fujatives.
but yes they had topsheets very prone to chipping, but thats why they are p tex and you can just fill it.

The 06s' tail is more stiffer than 05s'.
According to Pep Fujas : "it's more comfortable for backseat landings because everybody can't land perfectly every tricks"

there way stiffer than people say they are. chip kinda easy because of the topsheet material but thats ok easy to fix. strong edges, bases . but the size isnt too great for me since im really light, i should have waited for invaders. at +10 there not too agile, and suck anywhere but the park

a friend of mine had them and they cracked on the tip right along the mountain in the graphics in a "^" kinda shape right where it changes from brown to white.

Had them all season, rad flex, and after an ass load of rails both edges are cracked and the sidewall is almost completely out, but i mean this is after some super abuse, so they've held up super well as far as im concerned.

i ride them... thay are SWEET, so bomb proof, i dunno about everyone else but ive beat on them so hard this season, urbans, park rail, 60+ foot tables, cliffs, and everything. super durable and cheap

The tips get 2 little holes in them from edges hitting together. I destroyed my chronics and got some fujas and they've held up well. I've only got 1 core shot from an (almost) urban rail.

yea i have a little hole at the top to, but i guess you could say i brought it on myself, i was riding the lift and was porpusly (sp) slamming my tips together, i didnt even realise i was doing it after awhile.

...."i was wonderin if they (k2) made the tails stiffer to prevent breaking on backseat landings or what... i mean there has to be a reason for the tails to be stiffer"
there absolutely WAS a reason for the tails to be stiffer, b/c landing big jumps slightly back seat lead to washing out on the old ones, and it was fuckin annoying. the new ones are MONEY, that is to say, they kick ass. still bust the nastiest butters but are more stable for sure, especially in the tail. i'm lovin em... nose-pressin machines!

the original reds were the sickest, i have them mounted at +10, so they have more tail than most and wash out less than ones mounted core center (+7.5). i like them, and the softer tail of the 05s more fun for buttering. the one thing is that at +10, i have all but eliminated all mountain use for them, as they are a pain in powder and crud.

ok well some ppl have said they r bomb prrof and others they chip easly... i have a habbit of over rotating and smashing the edges together so i need a ski that will deff. hold up to that.... will the fujative do that or not?

haha i had just gotten off of another thread about PE's.
fujatives are a great ski, and for the money are perfect. they are just FUN to ski. they usually dont have edge issues, just chipping on the topsheet like every other ski. i am a firm believer that the fujative is actually a very durable ski. i have no issues with snapping them, and if you check my most recent pic in my images, youd see what i subject them to. i realize those are 04-05's, but they have the same nose flex....the tail was just stiffened for the 05-06 to my knowledge.
