yeah basso has an excellent chance, i'm really interested to see who will win it though, it's always been so sure that lance will have it for the past 7 years, it will be cool to see how it plays out this year.
and yes, it is the most grueling sport! these guys burn about 10000 calories every stage. this means that they could eat as much crap as they possibly could throughout that day, and they'll still lose weight, it's unbelievable.
PS: sticky this!

fuck that shot everybody got fired by their team so no tour for basso, ulrich, mancebo and vinokourov.
I hated anti-doping agency for ruining my fun.
Gutierez is not compretin either so that makes one real good rider out again.
my guess is a fight between kloden if he's a strong as 2 years ago,Valverde if he can keep the pace on a 3 week race and Moreau if he dosnt screw up puncturing his tire at the bottom of the climbs.
Then again there is so much time trial that everything could get fucked over by a real good TT rider who's going to survive the mountains.

i really want george hincape to win, i think he's underestimated and often overlooked since he was lance's wingman
(lance is my friggen hero though, so its all good)
however, despite my wishes my gut tells me that basso's gonna take the win
basso seems like a nice guy.. as is hincape.

hincapie almost got the prologue! i'm definitely interested in seeing how he'll do this year, he's always been there to aid lance, but now that he's on his own, we'll have to see.

I'm hoping for Landis, but I don't really know why. He seems really cocky, but for some reason I like him.
I always like to say this quote (I don't know who said it originally) in discussions about the Tour: "Lance Armstrong: The american hero who left his wife and three kids to date a rock star."

Who is still watching the tour?? Team discovery is a giant letdown this year (although Yaroslav Popovych did just win the 12th stage). George Hincapie is no where to be seen, which was disappointing to me. But an American is back in yellow! Go Landis!
It has been a very unpredictable tour, but what is everyones predictions of a winner as of now??

it's definitely the most gruelling endurance event I know of. probably as crazy as the foot race across the sahara desert. anyway, good luck to landis. hope that hip doesn't hold him back.

Yeah crazy he is competing with that hip. They said thats why he didn't sprint for the win at the end of stage 11 because it hurts his hip too much to sprint. I think we need to follow up the come back from cancer to win 7 with come back from hip replacement surgery to win 2 or 3...haha

and guess who's in yellow now? that's right, landis! in the epic alpe d'huez stage landis took the jersey from oscar and is now leading him by 10 seconds. some random luxemborg guy won, he had a great race and just killed it.

it was a mutual split, and there was plenty of time in between the divorce and sheryl crow. plus they aren't even together anymore, another mutual split.

Floyd lost le tour today, I'm keeping my first choice, kloden he's still there and he's gonna kick Sastre's ass tomorow and on the TT just watch out the geerman is hungry, so is sastre but kloden is way better.
Rasmussen is definatly the hero of the tour how can you humanly do the same thing 2 years in a row to geton top of the king of the hill jersey... 80 points in one day with a stage win, that guy is amonster. woaa

I have to say kloden could easily take it but perrero is so on top of his game that I am almost certain he will take it. But Im ruiting for christophe moreau. Hes a hard worker and deserves it.

NO JOKE!! He lost the tour today without a doubt!! That was a giant let down for me, Landis just got owned that last 15km. He is agruably one of the best time trial riders in the tour but he deffinetly lost too much time to make it up (and with another day of climbing to go he may lose more, unless he finds some kind of super strength). That 30min break away from stage 13 worked out well in the long run for Pereiro! Oh well, I'll put my money on Kloden too.

Tom Green only had one nut and he's funnier than a man with 8 nuts.
