umm i have liked oakley for a long time, although people say there stuff rips easy, i dont think it does i have had 3 pairs of pants from them and the first pair i threw out just this year from like 3 1/2 years back... so i think there great.

North Face is amazing quality for chead. I bought 40,000 water-proofing pant for 200 bucks CDN this season. They may not be as "cool" as Oakley. But they make sweet stuff.

Yeah don't hate on north face because the aren't "core". The freedom pants are an awesome buy, as long as you're not in the rain. And they're nice because you can get them in Long sizes with out going for a 44 inch waist. Nice for guys like me that are 5'11" 160 with long ass legs.

i dunno....north face's stuff is more for BC.....not all that tough....but is WARM AS HELL if your in the BC. Oakley have mad style, really warm in the park, but it is pretty heavy compared,not to mention expensive. I love Oakley presonaly, i think it is better to spend the money.

True....but i have own both ( Oakley Link Pant XL, North Face Freedom Pant XL from two seasons ago) I found that the oakleys were better quality in my mind. The fleece knees and butt were awsome, plus it just felt like they put way more insulation in the pant.

I had the Freedom pant from two seasons ago ( they are different this year, no tweed ankle cuffs, and baggyer fit).I loved these pants, light, warm, plus they were surprsingly tough. They had a tighter fit then most pants so i used them to rock the BC. This year i find they went down in quality..... more park orientated.

oakley rocks. i have the cohort 3.5 jacket and i skied all day in a rainstorm and it didn't let in a single drop. plus oakley's stuff looks sick as hell.

I've had oakley before and I think their stuff is crap. The 2by4 pants I had were about as waterproof as cotton and I ripped my romeo jacket. Granted those weren't top of the line, but I still expected a lot better than what I got. North Face, in my opinion, makes a far superior product.

north face makes crazy good product that can withsatnd almost anything, oakley on the other hand looks dam sexy. This season there stuff however is low water proofing and only is half good looking. If its to do with 07 gear get north face for sure
