06-07 elizabeth help

anyone who's ridden them...

-flex? (does it have invader hinge?)
-how buttery? (compared to invaders/thalls)
-decent on groomers for a fatty?
-legit as a fat park ski?
-weight?
-binding ripping out problem?

i'm 5'8 135...will be skiing mostly park then a month or so out west. i want a fat, buttery, park ski that will be decent on groomers and some pow.

lemme know

I don't think it has a hinge point, from what I understand it's just soft all the way from tip to tail. I saw a kid riding them last year at Winter Park Co. and I asked him about them, he said they're they best ski for every condition he's ever ridden(and he was a pretty damn good skier, I'm guessing sponsored). And yes, they are buttery as all hell, he actually showed me by leaning over his tips until he was almost perfectly parallel with the ground, then popped forward into a somersault back up to his feet, probably one of the coolest flatland things I've ever seen on skis. I dunno about the binding ripping out, but I haven't heard anything about that happening, and I've not sure about weight...but I'll either be getting these or the Bacons next year, most likely the Bacons cause I'm over 6 foot, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy them at all, they sure looked sick when I saw them last year.

the elizabeths are garbage. they are soft as fuck. and if this kid says they are the best ski for everything he probably hasnt left winter park.

well considering i ride in mich, i don't mind a soft ski. i just want a fat ass butter-capable ski.

That probably was him, cause I know he had the rampage boots, I don't remember what he was wearing though, and dude, shut up, just cause you don't like a soft ski doesn't mean they suck, they just aren't your style, don't hate, some people like a buttery smooth and soft ride.

im also interested on the binding ripping out issue because the bindings ripped out of my moships (but it may not have been the ski's fault because my shop replaced them because their stupid ass tech didnt put glue/sealer in the holes and water got in and rotted the core) and i never want that to happen again.

Yeah, I'd say that was the Tech's fault, I doubt youd have a problem with it ripping out if it's done right, unless you ski insanely hard and you rips bindings out on a regular basis.

I ripped my bindings out of my PEs last season too it is so annoying. they ended up ripping out 3 times becuase I didn't wanna buy new ones so I just kept remounting them. I'm thinking about getting a race stock salomon binding becuase I hear they have 5 screws instead of four, but the minimun din on them is a little high for park. that was kinda related to the thread

yea i had a pair of motherships and elizabeths last year and the bindings ripped out of both. i was using some of the older Look p12s with the heal pivot system. i think the problem with those fatter skis is you gotta find a binding with a wider screw mount so the screws are stressing one tiny part of the ski.

does anyone know wich bindings have the widest screw positioning? Looks are narrow, like hela close together. i need something wider for my fattys.

Some people need to understand that the Elizabeth is NOT MEANT FOR POWDER. It is a PARK SKI. However, it is very capable as a powder ski because of the fatness. It skis well from what I have heard, but It is probably softer than the invader all the way through. It seems like it would be a uper fun ski, but I wouldn't want it in a size any less than 185 or so.

The superfat ski that eric pollard designed for powder is the prophet. not the elizabeth. In most shots that I have seen he doesn't even ride the lizzies on bc jumps.

Couldnt have said it any better. I love my lizzies from the day i got them. They are the perfect all mountain ski for me, but i think its because of my stature and style.
