Need help with my camera

i have a gl1 camcorder and when i stick in a tape that i have recorded in into the camera it imediatly tells me to eject it and wont let me play rewind etc...., anyone know what to do? i looked in the manual and couldnt find help

canon is not known to have this problem but was the tape recorded from a different camera? possibly from a 1 chip camera? i know tapes recorded by 3 chip work on 1 chip cameras but im not sure about vice versa...im no camera expert though

no i recorded the tape earlier today actualy and when i went to put on my comp this happened

i dont no if i can cuz i just bought it from a friend....all the other tapes work so its not a huge inconveniece, just annoying
