dman none of u have heard of ppl calling it gravey there isn;t even a word for gravey in italian that was my biggest point when argueing with my friends
a lot of italians in philly call it gravy. what i dont understand though, is why you northern neighbors put gravy on fries. is good old cheese whiz or ketchup not good enough?
Gravy: juices that come out of meat when you cook it. Should only be eaten on meat, potatoes, vegetables or combinations of those three.
Pasta sauce: sauce you put on pasta. Anyone who puts gravy (as defined above) on pasta is weird and doesnt challenge the definition. Trust me, I'm Italian.
