It seems like Eric Pollard is one of the most popular skiers today, definately one of the most stylish and he's always talked about. It seems to me that he's had a whole lack of good film segments tho. I remember him having segments in Happy Dayz or Propaganda, maybe both. But they were never long or showcased a whole lot of his talent. Anyways, my question, will Push have Eric Pollard's long-time-coming killer segment? Or will it be another average MSP movie? ps. switch double backflip in the trailer is sick (not pollard tho), go check it out.
yea Happy Happy was pretty good, but once again, he was put backseat and given a shorter segment. I'd love to see what he can do on rails, but i barely have. He's got some stylish pow lines tho. switch.
yeah hes got a couple really good segments. his segment in dubski is one of my alltime favorite movie seggies. if you have the happy happy dvd one of the extras is a eric pollard thing where he does commentary on a whole bunch of shots from a long time ago to when the movie was made. its got a couple rail shots too.
he had a long one in wski but i dont think he rides for the cameras he does it cause he loves the sport and he never hucking himself he just probably one of the most or most stlyish riders out there
This could be nerdy, but Im pretty sure I can tell you which movie and which song he's had in that movie, from Propaganda to onward....
Keh, here goes..
Propaganda - Mike Tyson Abstract Rude
Ski Movie 2 - The Spooks
Shit,, Ive already lost.
Stereotype - It was a cool instrumental song with Trumpets
Ski Movie 3. Nelly Furtado and Swollen Members
I cant remember if there is another movie in between those two.
Focused - Southbound Pachyderm Primus
Ready Fire Aim - just to get by - Is Talib Kwelli??
Helly Hansen Movie - he had a few different parts.
Yearbook - I cant remember the song... sorry
Wski106 - My Guru/All over the World - The Rascalz
Happy Happy, Oh boy I havent watched that one in a while, he had a section in the bonus for himself....
And I havent seen too many of this years movies... Im without anything to do, and I didnt cheat, and I welcome all your hatred you can aim at my name.
if you really wanna see pollards rail game, you gotta back in time lol. royalty, stereotype, and propaganda are all AMAZING segments, with all sorts of technical rails, and lots of unnaty stuff. the man is amazing. those were actually my favorite pollard segs. i enjoy watching him ski the BC, but i loved watchin him ride park, it was a huge impact on me. his segment in happy happy was also another great one
I agree with you except the wski part was sick. Last year tho in the hit list his part was lacking. I want another long pollard part like in wski that really showcases what he can do. The part in hit list u could watch on the helly hansen site. This year I'm hoping we get a part thats long and shows what he can do
pollard is king man his early stuff is kinda cool like tee time and clay pigeons but deffintally dub ski is his best seggy to date, im stoked to see more butters in the pow for sure
I want to see more pensive and unnatural pensive out of pollard this year... I think that he needed some time when MSP showcased his modeling talent... I would also like to see him wrest dayglowpurple backed mongoosean Gorillaz I heard that he has a wicked finishing move....
oh ya forgot to say Sterotype zero off the cornice you gotta watch it close but its way beyond progression. Also Monkey mittens how could ya go wrong with monkey mittens
what blows me away, is watching him in the game and royalty(99-2000) and seeing how his park style holds up even today, no one else was as solid and modern looking as him back then or for the next 3 years to come.
There are two videos on the LINE site that are his best stuff. I can't believe that hardly any of it made it into the MSP film from this year. One video is like 5 minutes long -- basically an entire segment, and it's way good. It really displays his talent.
lol no hate dude, pollard's segments always seem to go hand in hand with a cool tune.
example: this year's msp's hit list, the cars - "just what i needed". one of my fav 80's tracks!
on the line site one of his video's song's is crazy on you by heart, such an awesome song. but yea the helly hansen video, happy happy has a really good seg of him
i've seen every single movie listed above, and own most of them. I still don't believe Pollard has had the segment he deserves. His skill deserves a closing segment, super long, with all his dopest tricks.
