Let's move all hockey conversation from the Sens suck thread to here. Anybody's prediction for the Stanley Cup Finals? I've gotta say Sens and Avs, Senators skate really fast and they've got a great goalie, and Hossa is the shit. Avs will own the Red Wings and any other Western Conference team, because we have the playoff experience and the flatout best talent. I've gotta say the Leafs have too many injuries and haven't gelled with all those trades, and the Dallas Stars are too streaky, they're gonna eat shit by the second round.

ok, I agree that the sens will go far. The Leafs will probably loose in the second round. Dallas is not going anywhere whithout Bill Guerin. Van is going to go far, but never forget about Edmonton. They have just clinched the final playoff spot, and are on a 6 game winning streak. I think they will do really well. And then there is St. Louis. I think they are going to go far as well, there trades are paying off.
well that is what i think will happen, I guess we will just have to wait and see.

The Oilers will be able to beat Dallas, or Vancouver, but not Detroit. So I hope either Dallas or Vancouver is in first place at the end of the season. Actually ihope Dallas is because we dont want a Canadian series, then one of them will be eliminated for sure. And besides, Edmonton-Dallas playoff series are always AMAZING!

Yes the leafs are too injured right now.

But gelling isn't an issue... they picked up great veteran players that would play well with anyone. This is why the rangers continue to suck. Too many guys in their 20s that think to highly of themselves.

I know I'm a leaf fan but seriously don't count the Leafs out if they are healthy. Cause they'll have 3 forward lines that can score at any time, and play the physical game too. And they have a solid defence core... and Belfour of course.

About cujo... all I have to say is detroit didn't get the same golie that the leafs had last year.

Oh yes, Red Wings are fucking ancient. Stevie Y and Shanahan are old and suck, and they're gonna eat shit in the playoffs. Avs own the rivalry in the playoffs, I hope we play them so we get a chance to show how bad they are. Cujo sucks, he's not playoff tested, why do you think the Leafs didn't win with him? The Leafs have a solid defensive core? You're joking, right? Do you actually know what you're talking about? The Canucks won't get past the first round. They have a good team, but they lack playoff experience. Give 'em a couple of years. Based on what I saw from the Avs when they came to Ottawa, they are going nowhere. That's all I've seen of them though, so maybe they do actually have a strong team. I think Ottawa and Dallas.

Red Wings dont have much of a chance this year because they have CUJO instead of Hasek, that is a HUGE difference. There players are old and tired too. Avs have a good chance of going all the way to the final, I mean you can dislike them but they have a damn good team, there is no denying that. If there is a well rounded team in the league today it's the Avs. Dallas is good, but I just dont see them doing it. Vancouver will go far. Fuck the whole west is good, too good, like you cant really rule out any team, Edmonton sorta, but they could suprise, dont underestimate Minnesota or St. Louis. The East is different though, I just see the Leafs going far, they know how to do it, just have a feeling. Sens will definantly put on a better show than previous years. I dont know though, the East is weird. All the teams are kinda streaky, except the Sens, but they still need to prove they can win in the playoffs. Like I have no confidence at all in teams like Philly and New Jersey, there just kinda weird, they could
show you up or completely get there asses handed to them, it's hard to say.

Yes I do mean solid. Let's face it, good defencemen are hard to find right now.

Leafs have Kaberle, Svehla, MacCabe, Wesley, and Housley(not a great defensive defencman I know, but has 12 years of playoff experience)... I'd say that's a pretty solid defencece core.

I'm not saying the Leafs have the best d in the league or even great d but it is definately solid.

I'll be honest if the Leafs get far in the playoffs it's because of their talent upfront and a hot goalie... but the Leafs will have the best defence they've had in years if everyone is healthy.

Oh and must I remind you that they've beaten Ottawa in the Playoffs with shittier defence before!?

I really don't feel that the sens have enough stamina to get through the playoffs, or 3rd and 4th round playoff experience.

I guess we will see won't we? The playoffs is a completely different game

If any ottawa fans have access to the NYI and TML game right now, I sugest you watch it.

Steve Webb scored. He hasn't scored since 2001, an 89 game goal drought. It was the ugliest goal ever.

He played 7 minutes in the first period and never touched the puck once!

Yes yes, sakic is the man, and the Red Wings are really old, and bad. San Jose had a video clip for the scoreboard that showed a bunch of 80 year olds in Wings uniforms standing on the bench during the game, it was hilarious.

the wings may seem old but then again take a look at zetterberg and my man datsyuk. and even if they are old they still kick everybodys ass and who just got a hat trick oh yeah thats right mr brett hull. if you have the ill chance of facing the wings good luck. and the western conference final is for the cup no offense to eastern teams but the west is just way too stacked
