My fin ripped out, what can i do?

hey I have a shortboard with 3 glassed on Aercor fins but the back right one ripped out. Can i replace this fin with another glassed on one? ...and if so, does it have to be the exact same fin?

im not sure you would really wanna do that yourself, but im sure if you go to a shop they could put in another glass one like you said, it would cost you probably like 50-60$ but depending on how nice your board is it could be worth it

go to your local shop, get a new fin and ask them to glass it on for you

its also pretty easy to glass on yourself. you just have to be careful to align it PERFECTLY straight and cover all of the holes. almost any good ding repair kit would have the basic set-up of stuff you'd need to use. you can layer a few layers of fiberglass over it to make it stronger, too. most shops will just do one layer or so because its "prettier" but fuck it.
like i said though, be CAREFUL.

yeah fuck that shit, i kinda wanna learn how to do all teh fixing and stuff, i mean i can sun cure stuff like its my job, but i wanna learn how to fiberglass n shit. i wouldnt trust myself doing it on my own board though

If you dont know what you're doing, dont bother trying. You'll just destroy the board. Pay someone the $$ to get it fixed, it'll save you a LOT in the long run.
