i know there are hundreds of the threads(probly thousands) but i dont know what skis and bindings to get. my old skis were Fuji's 169(the red ones, and i know they were short) with marker bindings. i am 6'0" and will be about 220-230 by the time winter gets around. i ski in the midwest so its mostly groomers, rarely powder by me. i will be skiing alot more park since im not a fat slob anymore, but still want an all around ski. i want somthing with alot of pop that will hold an edge still.
Liberty stealths wouldn't be too bad of an idea. Its pretty damn stiff, possibly one of the stiffest for park ski. The length is 180 and it holds edge like a mofo yet light and does well in park. Let me know if your interested, I have one for sale.
where could i demo them? all i have by me are little "montains"(if they can even be called that) the biggest ive ever been to are in the wisconsin dells and those are stil tiny. i dont know where i could go that would actually have a demo
ar5's actually would be pretty food for you. troublemakers are a nono, theyre soft and park only. but those prices r really high u can find much cheaper online...check ebay and other shops
definatly look at the PEs silencers, as they definatly have your length covered
chronic woulndnt be bad
Volkl karmas are definatly a good bet
9thwards, butterlicious, MIP
maybe a 183 STL (awesome, awesome ski, but the CS is not the best, and the new Option produced skis arent as good as the old 5 axis ones. but if your not super tough on stuff, this IS your ski)
head mojo 80
dunno, most skis today all kick ass, its just a process of figuring out how the specs fit you, and finding something you like.
dude, you really don't want fujs if your gonna spend any time outside the park. silencer better for sure but i would even put it on the list of the best skis for what your looking for. up to you though...
