Greetings.
The previous year's 1080 sure looked nice, but it's surface began to break pretty soon and there was nothing that you could do with it.
What about this year's 1080, is there anymore problems with their durability?

Yep, I know. But this question is addressed to those who bought 02-03 1080's and have ridden with them a year. Have those skis got bad in a year?

only thing wrong with mine is some scratches on the top sheet and a couple areas on the sidewall where the plexiglass/whatever it is came off... nothing real big. they hold up fine.

I've seen maybe 4 delams? Pretty good, considering we probably sold 25-30 pairs.

ya i had the 02 01 1080's and the tips came off, but i got it fixed, then they snapped in half, luckily salomons warranty is pretty good so i got new ones

delaminate=delam
Meaning: To have your ski split apart, usually at the tip or tail. Common on lots of skis, usually indicates manufacturer's defect in pressing/laying up/inserting glue. Warranty usually covers a delamned ski.
