People that say that park skiers can't ski (Rant)

Ok so earlier today, I saw the thread that critisized Schoening, saying that he can only ski park and not BC.
I think that ideas such as this need to stop. Most freeskiers (not all), have been skiing since they were very young, as early as 3 years old. And most start to freeski around the age of 14 (sometimes younger, sometimes older), but thats 11 years of non-park skiing. This obviously means that freeskiers can ski alot more than park, since they have so much experience outside the park. Another thing is alot of freeskiers used to race for a couple years. That gives them alot of experience with carving and helping their overall skiing ability.
That is why it pisses me off so much when people critisize kids saying that they can only ski park. Just because kids choose to ski mostly park doesn't mean that they can't ski outside the park, it's just that they mostly choose not to, which is totally up to them.
And there's my rant. I didn't really get all the points I wanted to, but you get the idea.

i understand that, but most of the time esspically this year every thing other than the trails themselves were dirt or grass cuz the weather was consistant. when i go up to northern michigan which is like a 4.5 hour drive there is some natural stuff thats fun to jib. but really, i have been skiing at the same place for a long ass time and there is much natural stuff. sometims we get bored in the park and look for natural jibs...but there arent any besides jumping of this fake 15 foot mini cliff thing we have that u have to be going about 40mph to get any real fun out of it and the landing is a trail beneth it full of beginner skiers.

I've been skiing since I was 6. I've been skiing park since I was 13. I don't want to ski the whole mountain. I like skiing park. I'm not trying to ski to prove something, I'm not trying to ski because I want to let everyone know how well rounded a skier I am.
I ski cause me and my friends have thrill issues. We have adrenaline problems. We like to hit the blunt, then put on our park rat fuckin do-rags and jerseys and go play around and have fun and go super huge doing dumb stuff because maybe somebody dared us to. I'm not trying to say that we don't want to progress, but it's more important to chill and learn with your squad.
If we wanted to drop cliffs, we would. But we don't really. And God knows we've got enough terrain in Tahoe and at Kirkwood. It's just not that interesting to us.
If you've got a problem with that, quit taking life so seriously. The progression of skiing needs to not be taken so seriously. Life's too short to be pissed off about other people's skiing ability.
So all of you need to chill the fuck out. And quit claiming for christ's sake. When's the last time you saw Cedric or Vanular claim on here. Have some self respect.

the only that i dont understand is when theres 20 inches of fresh and people ski park all day,, but if thats what they do thats what they wanna do u cant judge them on how good of a skier they are by what they like to do best..

I did racing for 6 years so I have not bad technique. But since I let go Race for freeski(wich is like the best decision ever.) I tend to not care about technique and having fun. No I dont plant my poles usually, Yes, I tend to not carve and just let go.
But When I need It, I do have the technique. But many nsers come from race and that means good technique(usually) but wathever..!
I SKI FOR FUN!!!

yeah but see, no offense, but no one cares what you think. i can see how youre trying to defend people by saying you can ollie and butter off everything...but honestly, if you came up to me and said im ignorant cause i only ride park id punch you in the head. ive been skiing since i was 3, i can ski damn well, and i pretty much only ski park now because i find it entertaining, and i love the people in the park, and it provides an everchanging cornucopia of things to learn. it keeps the sport from getting stagnant. now tell me that im ignorant for enjoying myself.
