B18 are most commonly found in hondas/acuras. its either that or a B16. B16's are more common though. theyre pretty reliable considering honda/acura uses them.
a standard one is just a standard B18. a short shift involes the shifting linkage inside the car. you have shorter throws which means you shift faster. and yes, the B18 is fast
