So, I just got rejected from the college which was my first choice. 'It is with regret that I must write you on behalf of the Committee on Admissions that you have not been admitted...for the fall of 2003' blahblah. It's so discouraging.

hey, ive been rejected from three so far...my top choice being one of them...we started a thing at my school on the wall in one of the buildings called the 'wall of shame'...anybody that has a rejection letter just hangs it up along the wall for people to laugh at and/or add comments to the person...its pretty funny

hahaha wall of shame, quality board to set up in your school, like saying well the education here sucks so i cant get accpeted anywhere... im sure my school would be filled with those letters

and if i dont get my first choice i think im gonna go nuts.

The thing is that I beleive I am qualified to get into this school. (It's Havorford College, a small liberal arts just outside of Philidelphia, Pennsylvania.) I've made honors all of high school and I'm in honors society and all that crap...The whole process is just so randomly stupid. I think now that a couple days have past...it's a good thing I was rejected. Maybe it wasn't the place for me...I dunno. For one there weren't any mtns or anything around...and I couldn't bike or sail either....oh well. I got into University of Vermont so that's pretty shibby.

Don't feel too bad, sometimes it works out for the best. I really wanted to go to U of T when I first applied to universities, only to get shot down. I ended up at U of Guelph(sucked, except for the food) and transferred to Simon Fraser University in Vancouver(ok ok, Burnaby...), and SFU is the best thing that's ever happened to me. School stuff always works out in the end, even though it might look like it's falling apart.

DUDE, appeal the decision right away. Give them a bunch of crap about how much you need this, write a really good letter. you will get in.

thanks buck490...but I agree w/K2. I just got rejected again, from SKidmore, which was supposed to be a safety school. THey got over 6,000 applicants for 630 positions...that's craziness. I'm sure it will all work out. I'm not too worried anymore.

With a bunch of suburban kids copying stunts from Jackass: the movie, I think it's safe to say some have tried to copy the plot of 'Soul Man' -
a keen kid looking to get into Harvard discovers that they only have one spot left and it's reserved for a black student. His solution? Eat suntan pill after suntan pill until he becomes black. Racially inappropriate attempts at humor ensue. I think it's more or less safe to say that this movie is the sole cause of the Los Angelos riots.

Last year when I applied I got into all 3. Some ppl that didnt get in aplied to start on the 2nd semester of the year where less ppl apply to.... just a though...(I dont know if its differant in the states, but u can do this in canadian colleges..)
