Pipe

get a lot of speed, and approach the wall at a 45 degree angle. When youre about to go up it, carve into it really hard, and thrust your arms forward. When you land make sure your weight is forward.

i used to suck at pipe. but then one day my shins were hurtin from over shooting jumps so i just spent my time in the pipe instead of the park. and now i rock the pipe.

when you say carve when your about to hit the wall..do you mean uphill or downhill..Im just wondering bacaeuse im working on getting decent in the pipe and it seems it could be done both ways.

you carve but not too much because you still want to travel down the pipe and not just go straight up and down...practise is the only thing that helps...i skied pipe a little last season and this season i had a day where everything clicked and i can throw down 12-14 foot straightairs and 10 foot flares

i don't understand why people find getting air in the pipe so difficult. im not trying to be an ass or anything but on my first day in the pipe i was on my old straight skis nad getting minium 1.5ft of air on the first day.

maybe cuz i used to snowboard in pipe but i dunno

When I ride pipe, my first run I just kind of ride through it doing small airs to see how much pop I need. Usually when its icy, I need to pop more and as the snow softens up I pop less. Then when your ready to go for it make sure you have a lot of speed and stay on your edges as you carve up the wall then at the top boost.

i dont see how can pipe be hard my first day in a pipe i rode one full day open to close cuz i was so intrested..... in that day i learnt grabbed 3's alleyoop 3's and 5's on top of various grabs....

Last year our pipe was so bad that there was an overhang, and it threw you out so far you landed in the flats on the bottom of the pipe. I got good by learning how to ride that.

it is sooo simple. just carve up the wall, and figure out how much pop you need. the main problemm i had was learning to drop properly and not lose speed. i didnt know how for a long time, so learn that.
