So here it goes, i just finished school this year and two of my friends wants med to go with them on a trip to thailand for 3 months. We're also going to visit some other countries like vietnam, kambodja and laos. We're going to travel the country and try surfing and bungyjumping and stuff like that. The thing is that if i go i'm going to waste all the cash i have and will be completely broke( with broke i mean 0 cash) by the time we get home. And with 0 cash i'm going to be stuck in my hometown(a small swedish town with no mountain) for the rest of the winter, and the skiing here absolutely sucks! And i really started to progress this year, a whole fucking bunch of new tricks got stomped, and i was really looking forward to progressing more this winter so i don't know what to do. Go to thailand and hopefully have a great time with alot of new experiences or stay at home and progress my skiing and maybe go on some small skiing trips here in sweden ?
Tell me what you think i should do!

dude, this seems like a once in a lifetime chance. you only have one life. despite what everyone else on this site will say, lifes not all about skiing. enjoy yourself doing something new.

i would definitely go with your friends. you have one life to do this stuff, and most the time people dont get backa round to things like that. ski another time.

right, this is an incredible chance for you. i know i'll get bashed for this, but skiing isn't more important than this, this is a potentially awesome memory. as long as you aren't spending saved up college money or anything, i'd do it.

sounds to me that you want to stay behind and have the money to ski....everyone is telling you to travel (which is what i would do!) and you keep saying 'but...something about skiing', so maybe you've already made up your mind but want approval from others?

fuck man, are you serious? Get on the train and go travel! Its not even a question in my mind. You will have a fucking awesome time, and your going to regret not going for the rest of your life if you dont. Id kill to be able to go on a trip like that - damned by skiing, which you know you will still find ways to do, maybe not as much, but youll still get out there on the slops. Maybe its a good year to get ahead in the urban game.
But go on the adventure. Dont sit at home and do nothing.

as much as i would want to say skiing, or would go skiing, I will have to say go travel. Look, I know how it is to have sucky skiing. I live in atlanta. this is a once in a lifetime chance to do something completely different. Its a trip you will remember forever and something that could change you as a person. In the worst case, you wont ski all winter, but you will still be able to ski. You can have your full season the next year. Besides, you can get a job at a resort and still ski. Go on the trip. You wont regret it...unless you get the avian flu or something.
