this just in smuggs vt is one of 2 resorts east of the rockies that makes money each year. i find this amusing. sorta sucks actually

probably because you guys have way to many resorts and not enough people spending the cheese...or maybe because it takes a lot of money to keep up terrain parks and since thats all you have even more time/money is spent on them...ha!

dude, i dont beleive that shizza, the eat got hammered this season, i almost wish i still lived back there, well not so much. but more than two mountians must ahve made money, i konw my home mountain had its best season in years, so most VT hills must have killed it...

if you wanna make fun of the east make fun of the 01-02 season. We had about a month and a half of skiing the whole season and it was on ice. I think this year the east has had a really good season and its a lot better than all you westerners think.

yeah the 'America's Family Resort' theme and million dollar daycares is something other resorts should take note of. Also Smuggs makes more money in the summer than in the winter.

to who ever said we ski on trash heaps, you're incredibly ignorant. I ski on all 3000+ foot mtns....not much of a trash heap. That would be the midwest, and in that case, they're still sick skiers.

its not that resorts are spending money, its that people aren't spending money on resorts. the simple fact is that less people skied this year. its not because of money spent on building parks. and dont compare ski hills to a website.

Well, Blue Mountain made money, that is forsure, by far the busiest season I have ever seen there, probably the busiest winter in the history of that resort.
