Why we love skiing so much?

I'm just sitting here in school bored as hell, and i'm just thinkin bout why we love skiing so much... its weird. We are newschoolers, go of jumps, cliffs, grind rails, etc... why is the park so fun? We go up in the air, twirl around, grab our skis, flip, only for like 3 seconds. So probably in a day of skiing we're in the air for like, not even one minute added up. I don't understand why i love it so much, thinking bout how we're only grinding rails for like, 3 seconds too...? I do love it, so does most everybody else in here, but i'm just tryin to wonder why? why is somethin 3-4 seconds long so fun? Where as ur playin basketball ur playin like, 2 hours at a time! skiing and liking park is weird, anyone agree? What makes this so fun? is it just the fact of doing stuff and progression?

its not just being in the air, we ski for like...8 hours. sure you only in the air for a total of a few minutes, but when your not in the air your still skiing, arent you. skiing is about, going out, having fun, and trying to progress, whether its in turning, 180's or dspin 9's.

yeah i dont even spend half my time in the park, skiing the whole mountain is fun and tree trails are my favorite type of skiing, theres not much pow here in the east but skiing is just fun in general and its kind of hard to tell why

alright, i worded it wrong. I didn't mean just skiing, i meant like, why do we go off jumps or grind rails is its only happening for a couple seconds a time? What makes it so fun? i can't think of why we go in the park or hike rails or jumps or pipes just to hit it for another 3 seconds. I know that just going out and skiing is insanely fun...but seroiusly, why park? what makes it so fun? i'm not saying its not fun, it's like, my life...but what MAkes is fun? i can't think of a good way to think of it...

the feeling you get while spinning weightlessly through the air, theres nothin else like it, and the feeling you get after you stomp a landing, or land a new trick it good to

liveski: you sound like my parents. it doesn't matter so much that you know why you do it, just that you truly enjoy doing it. also, the company that you're with makes a huge impact on the fun factor.

its everything about it.....the friends your with that understand the passion you have for the sport, the connection you feel with the people you ski with, the freedom of expression while skiing and in the air, the fact that when your riding thats the only thing that matters. Your not worried about your bills, school, work, whatever....Its complete paradise whether its the 2 minutes of total air time a day or the whole 8 hours your on skis....its your time, its the best times of you life. You have to love it, we all drive hours to ski every weekend, spend countless amounts of money to do it......love is the only thing that will explain it.

why i love the park so much is because every year since i was 5 i've skied tons of days. i've skied over 40 days numerous times and untill the past year all i would ski is stuff out of the park. the park is new and it's something different. not too mention the park has limitless possibilities

its about pushing your-self as far as u can, thats human nature. learning new tricks is part of it, say its a C-rail your very unlikely to give up on it untill u land the whole thing and get that feeling. the same feeling that keeps u going
if your not chaeting your not trying

its cuz we're different from everyone else. ive got a friend who skis, but doesnt get the real thing. he talks big and school and shit, and since me and him r the only skiers in our school ppl listen to everythin he says. its cheap shits like him that make us skiers look like shiz. and then he bitches at me cuz the only thing i wanna think about it skiing. everything i see look or do i try to reflect to skiing. but we do it cuz we couldnt live otherwise and its just skiing. some kinda force...i dunno, but its the shit.

I like it when little kids point and me and say Whoa! from the lifts. It's fun it's self gratifying its self improvement it's a reason to wake up in the mourning . The smile I get when I stop halfway down the slope pause look around as the suns beating on my face watch my friends goofing off stealing peoples hats I wouldn't trade it for anything (cept a ferrari) If I didn't have skiing I wouldn't be happy

sex only lasts a few minutes, why is it that people are willing to do everything they can for those few minutes?
Answer this question and you will have the answer for why we ski.
However you put it, it's a great feeling. A feeling of release, freedom, and peace.

along weith tere reasons, another one is that youdont tire of it easily, like when you skate n stuff. Imagine a skate forum, it wou8ld be quite gay and anyone after practice can do it, skis you gotta kinda be already pre talented and good with co ordination it wierd, but yea

I just have this thing with flying, I love speed, and freeskiing combines both of them under your own man-power so it creats the coolest combo ever. Skiing with friends makes it at least 300 times more fun cause it gives you some competition and good company. I'm just out there to ski and have fun, which tricks make way better.
