Anybody make their own hats????

my mom said she could teach me to crochet in 45 min, i thought it would be wicked cool to learn how to make your own ski hats, so on a plane ride or bus ride to the mountain you could like do your ownhats with custom pom poms and stuff, has anybody done this? do you knit or crochet? how hard was it to learn, any plans for hats? post a pic of your final product

Crocheting is much easier to make things like hats, triangles and the like. Knitting takes a bit more focus and creativity to get what you really want at the end. Pick up crocheting.

I cant crochet, but I have a friend that can. I had him make me one of the sickest fucking hats ever. He used some special red stringy hair-like thread. now I have a black hat with red hair all over and a black ball on top. May sound ugly but it is the shit
