New park skier need a bit of help

I have been skiing for 2 weeks now at an indoor park in New Zealand. It's a pretty mean place to learn. I'm 12. So far I have learnt like 3s, 3s over boxes, fakie 1s, 270s out of a suicide rail switch onto street type rails and yeah. Any tips on how to get better?

If the cafeteria has poutine, eat it every day. Oh and dont claim tricks ever, then you come across as cocky. And definitley consider learning 3s on flat, so you can get those rail tricks down easy.

Lol the only thing the cafe has there (that is affordable) is hot chips! everything else is in the $30 range, so no way am I buying that. Is chocolate good protein :)

just ski backwards... a lot down the hill all the time, never ever ski forwards unless your going to a jump or something. this will gain you comfort in skiing switch, then when u step it up to hit jumps and rails switch ull feel a lot better. learn to carve switch

Haha, as far as that switch thing, the other day I got bored of rails cuz none of my mates were there, so i was just carving down the side that's not terrain park fakie. It was sooooooo sick!!! I gained a lot of confidence I think. It's mean fun.

for 5s, just go for it on a remarkable bigger kicker than on your first threes, i did em first on something like 30, if you have the balls, you wont have any problems to get em around, just look where you go, at least since 270 you will see the landing and than you just have to bring another 270 down while you will be able to see pretty everything that is important,

than you need to be pretty comfortable when riding and landing switch

Yay! I finally got them down (5's) and learnt how to sex change 5 on the box. been 3 weeks of skiing now.

Learn EVERYTHING all directions. Do all your spins left side, rightside, switch and regular before moving onto the next trick, and all railslides left foot forward and right foot forward. It'll make you such a good skier in the long run. If I was learning again from scratch, that's how I'd do it.

Ok but u guys have to realize i ski alot man in 1 weekend I ski like 22hrs so really its not that amazing... i go about 6 times a week. I will try and get some videos, cept we ain't got a camera... :(

Fine then, I'll try to get sum vids. I had skied about 4 times for half an hour on rentals, not doing rails or jumps. And it's not like I have perfect style, and + my 540's aren't very big, only like 3ft high or even less.

Ohhh yup poutine lol... never actually heard of it, but we go through the french fries like they're going out of fashion man! They are great with tomato sauce... and to other people who are giving me heaps about being cockky and stuff, I ski a lot in a week and i'm one of the most useless skiiers there. Other people do rodeos and stuff. I know one guy who could frontflip and backflip after 3 weeks of skiing. A guy who works there can backflip off of a suicide rail. Believe me, I wasn't saying i'm good.
