anytips for getting up the guts/practicing/helping landing the 3.. does it help by practicing by just doing 3s off the ground w/o skis on or can u do it w/ ur skis on, on the grass..?
its gonna seem intimidating the 1st couple times you do it..try it off something small but not to small..all you can do it pop the lip and spin ur hips..when u land ur 1st 1 it feels soooo good
here's the thing: threes are easy. If you can do a 3 in tennis shoes on the ground, you can do them on skis. But, the decision to spin 360 degrees in the air, which at some point you will obviously be facing uphill, is not easy. From a logical standpoint, it seems rather stupid. The hardest part about spinning is just comitting. Don't think. Don't look at the jump any longer than you have to. Visualize the spin and go.
how do u do it on the ground? how do u tell how much 2 rotate or when 2 stop swinging around? does it help 2 be able 2 do it like on the ground with and without skis? and should i start w/ like ladning 180s and stuff before i move up to a 3
practice spiining on the ground and make sure you get the feel for starting teh spin and when to stop and stuff, and it also helps if you spin off stuff like steps, high curbs, then you get the feel for being in teh air longer. then just try it on the snow and work on keeping your eyes open to spot the whole way, that's the only way my threes got better. and also work on trying it off bigger jumps right away after you learn the three right.
haha^
well it takse practice and talking about it doesnt really help even if someone told you exactly what to do you still need to get out and TRY. after a while you can tell when you are in the air whether you need to tuck in order to come around, or spread out your legs to stop your spin. trial and error.
the hardest part is commiting. you need to realize that unless your trying your first 3 off a 20+ foot table, you will not hurt yourself. unless you got mad downs then your fucked.
