I bought a new album off itunes and put it on my ipod and brought it to school to use the music. I know I can't take it off the ipod but it wants me to activate the computer to play it. I am really starting to get pissed off by itunes. Anyone have a reliable program that I can use with my ipod?
not really itunes' fault, it's the record companies who dictate what restrictions they put on the music from their store. you'll find its the same with most other stores.
well, itunes in incredible first off.
but i think if you buy music from itunes, they make you authorize the computer that you play the music on (stops pirating) and you can only authorize like 5 computers.
so dont buy music from itunes.
and there is no other player that works well with ipods.
Apple is a fucking giant, and i realized this yesterday when i was out driving around...
I saw an Acura that had the Apple sympbol (an apple) on the rear top left corner.
If it would actually work I wouldn't have a problem with it but it will not authorize this computer and I have 3 computers at one house and 2 at the other along with my dads computers, moms computers etc. If I paid for the music I want to use it. If I had bought the CD it would work in every computer and CD player. iTunes should not limit you to 5 computers. Thats bullshit. I know there are other programs out there because I have ephPod and it works but not when itunes is installed. itunes also takes up a ton of my computers memory and opens when I don't want it to.
wait what do you want to do with the music? play off the computer? well how about u stick ur hand around the back, get the speaker cord and plug into you headphone jack on the IPOD.
and if u want it for a project to input sound, u need to use the IPOD as a data drive and drag and drop the song into the IPOD removable drive in My Computer. then plug into a diff computer and grab the song.
You know I would but I'm on an imac so speaker solution won't work. Also I can't do that because of administrative settings. Good suggestions but I've already thought of that and its not what I asked.
ok heres what you want to do.
1)go into my documents i think (ihave a mac now)and find the folder that has all of you music in it. It could be in my music
2)plug in your ipod and go to my computer then open the ipod. It should be displayed as a removable disk.
3)creat a file on the removable disk
4)move the music of your choice onto the ipod
take it to your school then just upload the music copy to what eve program thats on the computer
