so now that mostly everyone hates MSP now, does anybody even like Helly Hansen's products or like them as a company? they put all of this money into sponsoring movies and maybe 1 event but they would be the last company i would buy ski stuff from. they seem to be invisible in the market place and arn't innovative with the trends (camo, and bright coloured shit).
"aren't innovative with the trends" wow your cool, i think you confused being innovative and following the trends, in case you didnt notice helly had their turquoise suit out THIS PAST year unlike all other companies coming out with them next year and they also have a brown/bright yellow suit coming out next year to name one thing. that wasnt to prove that all camo and bright colors are cool and that helly hansen is cool but to prove that you dont know squat all about what your talking about.
i think what you need to ask yourself is if you realized that i never even talked about them caring about me or you or anyone, i was talking about him and his color argument
They have the best waterproofing and warantees, so I really don't see how Helly is a bad company. Just because they're not fashionable enough for those of you who have to primp up to ski doesn't mean they're a bad company. Judge by the quality of the product, not how "badass" it will make you look.
Helly Hansen isn't ruining the industry...I have no reason to hate on them...sure some of their suits may not be the most "trendiest" but they do make some quality stuff. They sponsor MSP because they can't really get much better advertising in the ski industry (sadly).
I love the material and styling on my convergent and the waterproofing and all that, but I don't tink i wil buy from then anymore. The sizing is just f'ed up. The sleeves are sooo freakin long and then the jacket only goes down to like the bottom of my butt. so it looks all short with huge sleeves. so yea HH, if you hear this, make your jackets longer please pleae please!
i hate how they were so eaily manipulated by MSP (assumign thats true, IT IS) but their products are quality, and don't seem to be influenced so easily by market trends which are kidn of wierd
just because they dont make ugly ass one piece suits and xxxxxxxxxl fluorescent camo doesnt mean they suck. their jackets are probably one of the most high quality and their prices are good too. i buy their stuff because it is more my style. their main consumer isnt in the hardcore newschooler, and so they dont make most of their jackets like that.
HH isn't my favorite ski clothes company, but it's close. The clothes are good quality, and usually a good price, so it's more bang for your buck. Some of the clothes are so-so, but they are a little more timeless than say oakley, which is certainly a good thing.
helly's my favorite outerwear company, and one of the reasons why is that they're not so concerned about making some hot, cutting edge stylie ugly bullshit.
helly is the dope shit. their gear looks good, but function comes first and thats how it should be. if trendwhores like you dont like it you dont deserve to wear HH. i have a sick jacket that is several years old and it has held up so well i get asked if it's new.
yeah, they were like, we cant find it, and i said i would drive down to the factory and look for it myself. they called back a little while later and found it, i was so pumped.
next years helly stuff is ILLLLlll nasty, i want some...but about the market thing...their target market is an older age group, and they do realy well there...their just recently starting to get to us young hooligans
p.s. you said they aren't innovating the trends? wtf are you talking about thats a total oxymoron, dumdumhead
Helly stuff looks okay, but there's tons of shit out there that looks better. Quality wise... yeah, no. It's trash, as far as I'm concerned. Well, okay, to be fair, so is a LOT of outerwear these days, so I guess the standard of quality has been lowered. But they're sure not raising the bar in any way.
i've owned a few pieces of helly outerwear and it's all been super plus their warranty is pretty damn good. i've got an undershirt that is the warmest yet thinest thing ever.
don't knock helly they make good gear and support a ton of great athletes.
I ADORE helly hansen. they do have an issue with faulty closures (zippers, snaps and some seam stuff) but for the most part, its all i buy. their pants are especially good (in my case). they fit a girls body well, are thin but warm and are all cute. their styles for next season are really neat (most of it); im PUMPED to get the purple jacket.
Helly Hansen Missoula actually offered me a job because I'm in there so frequently.
thats what i am getting at, i ain't saying they suck, i kow it's good quality and they arn't ruining skiing, i am just saying they seem to be an idle company
They're one of the few companies that legitamtly puts some money back into freeskiing. The gear isn't bad either, there has been other people coming out with more tech stuff lately so they've been bumped down from the upper eschelon of quality, but still pretty tight overall. Not too shabby.
dude, the bottom of you butt is pretty low. Do you really want your coat down by your knees? Thats weird
I love my helly hansen pants. I've had them for like 5 years and they're still awesome. My coat is really nice too although one of the seams camed undone and it took them like 8 weeks to fix it and then it came undone again like a week later.
I dont. I bought one of there jackets a while ago, piece of shit, you could feel the wind when you rode, (like through the fabric on your skin) and it wasent nearly as waterproof as it said.
their stuff is reasonably priced, not the best looking(all the new stuff right now looks like shit anyways(oakley neon camo stuff makes me want to puke))but its not overpriced and decent quality. not a bad choice but their are better options. in temr of just quality ems makes some super nice stuff.
