Where are people going to school this september, assuming you are graduating. I'm going to Simon Fraser, yay finally getting out of Ontario.

why do ppl in canada call it university, and in the us ppl call it college (in general terms)

In Canada, college is different than university.

For example, you do not get a degree from a college, but some kind of certificate or diploma. College programs in Canada are usually very specialised, often relating to a trade.

University in Canada is basically the same as college in the states, being more academic than hands-on stuff and generally resulting is some kind of degree.
