i've had the same bonfire gloves for the past 3 seasons. they're the shit. never gotten cold, never gotten wet. there's alot of nostalgia that comes with having a piece of equipment for a long period of time... kinda feels like a wingman. i don't wanna ever get rid of them.
i want a pair of warm gloves. i've tried pretty much everything and haven't found a pair that did it for me yet. over the top warmth while keeping your hands dry and a low profile makes for the ultimate glove.
ive got helly hansen mits, which are good and look good, and i got some drop glves for the warmer days, they dont look as good as the helly hansen ones but they are perfect for warm days
I love mine because there huge and unbeilevably warm and there 140 dollar gloves I got for 40!!! Also I have grenades that are perrrrrfect for spring keep my dry and are nice and kooowl.
Because they cost me a total of $10, lasted all season through rope tows and stupid kids that I loaned them to, and still are nice and fitted ( like a glove) and make me feel happy when I put them on.
alright wait, theres a thread about why ppl like their gloves. someone back me up when i say this is so obvious and absoloutely pointless. like idc if ppl make random threads im just wondering why everyone is taking it so seriously when everyones answer is they are warm and they look good. wtf else would u like about them
Mine are called Workgloves......they are plaid.....they cost me 5 bucks...and they keeps my hands warm. Mostly because the tow will rip your hands to shreds with anything else.
first off, cool idea, i was checkin your myspace out and everything.
lets see. i think the most important thing is this project is going to be getting good waterproofing. thats the number one, most important thing there is. but yea, low profile is a big plus, maybe the precurved fingers.
another thing i really love, are those wrist straps, so you can take off and dangle your gloves. maybe make like a lil neoprene cuff that velcros around your wrist, with a single shock cord attaching to the glove, preventing intanglement.
maybe zippers or velcro vents that could be opened on a midseason glove, cause i rarely get cold hands, usually its the opposite. maybe a heater pocket for cold weather gloves
material in the thumb that is responsive with ipod controls. thats a biggy. i know they make gloves like that, but not for skiing.
but definatly, definatly some cool, simple graphics, specially in the palm. grenade currently take the cake for this kinda shit, but the military/misfits theming really isnt my thing.
but yeah. all i can come up with now, but im interested to see how the project goes, good luck!
props you guys sound sick! what I want when buying gloves:
- WARM
- dont want my hands to get wet, yet enough breathing so they arent super sweaty.
- something so i can dangle them so i dont have to hold them when i have them off
- cool graphic
- soft material on the back of thumb or side of index finger to whipe your nose/face after a big fall
- low profile and flexibility
- good grip
- cold weather gloves with powder guard, warm weather without
HELL YEAH THATS WHAT I MEAN! lol, i love gloves like that. its sooo nice, cause then you can pop um off with out havin to clip um together, pocket um, etc. i really actually think that would be sweet though, a velcro cuff, outa neoprene, with one shock cord, cause they always get tangled with my poles. i would SOOO buy those.
i like gloves that keep my hands warm and dry even on the coldest days. i have not found this glove yet because my hands always feel like they have frostbite after a cold day skiing.
