I'll be flat out honost. I think that is totally bull shit. My buddie (who was 19 at the time) dated this girl that was 17. Her parents hated him for some awful reason (most likely because he wasn't uber right wing christian), so they pressed statutory rape charges on him.
I'm 19, I think I'd rather date a mature 16 year old girl than an immature 18 year old girl.
There needs to be a gray area to work with.

was that in PA cause i thought there was a 4 year difference law in PA. like the younger can be under 18 as long as the difference in ages is less than 4 years.
and i agree with you, i think it all depends on the people and the situation, but i also think that gaps bigger than 2 years when one of the people is under 16 is too much.

there was this chick at my school who was from regina, saskatchewan (super hick town) and she was dating a 23 year old chef, who shed fucked and all that good stuff, this was last year so she was 14 also
