Replying to Switch Spinning

i've never really spun switch ever...i can do like, switch 1's and shit but i never do them. When i think bout a switch 5 i always think i'm gonna leave the lip too early and catch my edge. Well, i COULD just spin after i see the lip, but for some reason when i look over my shoulder going switch i can't see good and have pretty bad judgement on where i am on the jump. You guys have any tips so i can really tell where i'm going and know when to spin? If you say just wait for the lip, that probably won't work for me cuz i suck and i'll be going what will be fast for me and all of a sudden i will see the lip by surprise and get all messed up. So anybody else ever had this problem when they were learnin switch? Or any tips? Thanks.
