Im looking for my second camera and im trying to decide between a vx2000 a gl2 or that high def JVC camera. Im willing to spend up to 1,500. Also what lense would you recommend for these cameras.
GL2 looks better at long lens, and the VX looks better for fisheyes. You decide. I bought a GL2 because fisheyes aren't my style and I shoot mostley long lens.
go with the jvc hd. It's vastly superior to the VX and the GL2. Its lens options are a little limited, but other than that it's not a bad cheap hdv cam.
Don't settle for HDV crap. if you want HD, then get HD, not HDV. Yes HDV is higher quality than SD but if you're going to spend all that money for "High definition" then don't settle. I highly recommend the Vx or GL2.
