i hiked that shit one time, quite a while back. i hiked with my gear and a shovel, got to the picnic rocks and carved a transition out of the hill. people said it was the first time some one built a kicker, i did a backflip for the first time.

its a long ass drive man. i did it from saratoga, ny and it took me about 5 hrs. then my friend and i slept in my car in the parking lot. that night was absolutely tumultuous. here's my story:
first off we ate like 3 bags of trailmix on the drive up, coffee (to stay awake since we left town at 11pm), fruits, beef jerky..you name it we ate it. we finally pull into the parking lot at 4:20 a.m. (no lie) and decide to sleep a bit. it was so cold out i kept waking up and turning the car on for heat, my windows froze from the inside out and my friend is lying there next to me farting every five fuckin minutes. so to make matters worse i now have to open up the windows to let the stink air out and the wind is howling outside.
we wake up in the morning, its now like 7:30 maybe 8 am. we both look at eachother like holy shit we cant hike this today (we put away 6 days for tucks so one day no biggie) we feel like shit. so we drive to the motel i booked for us and as we're leaving the parking lot of tucks i look at my friend and i'm like dude my tummy hurts i'm gonna pack one up and smoke it. so her and i are both smoking like crazy bc we felt like such shit. next thing you know i look in my rearview mirror and there's not one, but TWO unmarked cop cars right behind me. so we start spraying air sanitizer stuff, i light up a cig and just keep on driving but all the while freaking out that i'm gonna get pulled over with about a oz. in the car. we find the motel and pull in....shit the cops are STILL behind me WTF? as I'm pulling into the parking lot of the motel there's gotta be about 35 fuckin cop cars everywhere! so now I;m like holy shit what am I gonna do? They all cant be for me right? Well I was right. The pigs were there for some special olympics thing. We go to check in...we reak of course, there's cops everywhere giving us the evil eye and my friend the whole time is saying (very very loudly) hey do you smell bacon? i smell bacon! damn i sure could go for some bacon right now! soooo paranoid. we finally get up to our room.... next door to us, across the hall, on the other side and below us are all cops.
after a nice hot shower her and i both head over to the rest. for some breakfast. we walk in there and there's cops and mentally handicapped kids all over the place. mad uncomfortable. apparently they were giving awards away to the handicapped kids for the olympics right. all of the cops that were there at this function were wearing their guns....is that necessary? did they think some kid was going to go biserk with his wheelchair or something? it was weird.
anyways thats my story and i'm stickin to it. good day

yeah we got up to tucks after 2 days of just straight hiking around northern NH. i kinda had to prepare myself bc my hips pop out every now and then and my knees are very close to being shot, then with a 42 lb pack on my back. yeah it was good times.
the drive back home was absolutely beautiful...like 45 degrees and SUNNY...so I'm driving along and my best friend falls asleep in the car so I just keep on driving minding my business and took a different route home then we did up to NH. all of a sudden I notice I'm in Rutland. I think to myself 'shit killy must still be open, lets see if i can get one more day in'. So I drive up to Killy (bf still asleep). Park, get out, get my gear on, pop in the gongola and start off. Totally stoked too! Blue bird day, nice corn snow. So I make about 4 runs, completely forgot about my friend and the last run I took was down Bunny Buster because no one had touched it and the snow was sooo soft. I come out of the trail and had to start hiking back to the gongola bc there were puddles of water everywhere and I look over at my car and theres my bf sitting on the hood of my car screaming at me. Shes like WHERE THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN? I CANT BELIEVE YOU LEFT ME IN THE CAR! blah blah blah. I was like listen you didnt have the fuckin money for a ticket and you were sound asleep so dont worry about it. Needless to say she didnt speak to me for the rest of the ride home. All and all...it was a good time.
