all of us east coast skiers must stick together. all of these people from the west talk trash about us and say we can't ski but it is time to show them what it is like to learn new tricks onto hard landings. we are the ones who have the ability because we do not have those powdery landings to throw ourselves into. we have the balls to throw down onto hard pack while all of these west coast skiers have two lips between there legs and have to land in nice soft snow.

hahaha, east coast, hahahaha. first off, we have terrain parks too if we want to 'land on hardpack' but we have the opportunity to build jumps and land in soft snow! What a concept! If you would rather land your 450's sideways and fuck up on hardpack than soft snow, you are an idiot.

One thing i cant understand is why east coasters are so proud about their ice lumps they call jumps and 100 foot vert hills they call mountains.

tell you the truth a lot of the mountains out here are pretty descent if you live in norhtern new england. we just don't start up as high as you. so get your facts straight and plus it takes a lot more balls to land on ice then in powder so i guess i'm bragging that i have bigger balls then you.

I mean the east coast has soo much snow that we have to give it to the west coast, seriously thought WEST COASTERS ARE PUSSYES. i mean i love landing in soft snow but that only happens at the west coast.

first off, skibum you are an idiot.

alright, now that we have that out of the way, us on the east coast are stuck here and hate it, because we have crappy hills (with a few exceptions), and apparently, some of us need to vent our frustrations on the skiers from the west coast. we are jealous that they have everything they need to help them progress, while we are stuck here on our 100 vert hills with tiny, icy hits and minimal rails.
that doesnt mean that we have to cry. hell, deal with it! just because we got shafted doesnt mean we gotta attack the ppl who get it the best. for the record, im happy for all the pps out west.
so in conclusion, i designate easternskibum as an official idiot, and for the record, all of us easterners dont have the same warped state of mind as he does.

Alot of east coast skiers can tear it up the park - one of the reasons being because they don't (for the most part) have a huge vertical with powder and backcountry skiing.

west coast gets the best of everything so alot of the riders ski it all and diversify things by skiing pow, park, pipe, groomed, the whole thing.

Yes some great skiiers come from the east coast but we could name 10 pro skiers form the west coast for every 1 pro east coaster.

Oh yea, jumping on ice makes you hardcore!
That has to be one of the funniest things I've heard.

I got respect for you guys that throw it down on ice, but how does jumping on ice make you a better skier?

We have super parks over here with tables over 100', how big are yours?

Ok this shit is dumb. I've done both. I grew up on the east 'coast'(Ontario), skied all over both Ontario and Quebec, and finally moved out to Vancouver to go to school this year. If you live on the east coast and think 'man I could throw anything if I had 3 feet of pow to land in', YOU ARE WRONG. Chances are you'll first have to learn to ski that pow before you get anywhere NEAR hucking your meat off a nice backcountry booter with a fresh landing. And when you do finally get to that booter, you'll figure out that powder doesn't necessarily mean that crashing doesn't hurt. And it's a mental game too. You don't spend your first days in booterville @ whistler hucking Dspin 10s, you spend them learning how to land in powder(yeah it's different), and coming to realize that the jumps you see in movies are MUCH bigger in real life. You think a booter set up on top of a cliff is EASY to hit because the landing is a powder slope with the perfect inclination??? If so, YOU ARE A MORON. Eastern skiing is fun. I loved the days I spent sucking it up in the park, hucking to ice landings, riding nice pipes, and sliding rails. Western skiing is just as good, and we have the added bonuses of powder and natural terrain to play with. Stop the fight...we're all skiers.
