So, I'll be in the yosemite valley for this coming weekend. Apparently Tioga pass is covered in snow, so I know there is still snow there. Anyone with experience know if there is easily accessible snow in the beginning of June? I don't have any hiking equipment but id love to hit up some snow if i can.
drove through that area last week, tioga, monitor, ebbets, sonora, all the big passes are open. looooooots of snow to be had. we hiked north from the top of echo summit on hwy 50 and found some sweet cliffs (~20/30') that had snow almost down to the road. if you want park, unbound will be open until july 4th, and its still huge. but the spring corn conditions are so good elsewhere youd be stupid to go park skiing right now.
