Yup thats exactly the best way to get the respect of people your trying to convince. Yes exxon has done some bad shit, but basing your entire opinion on an insanely biased website and then expecting everyone else to follow suit just doesnt work. There are sites like that for pretty much every company and cause out there in the public eye. I am much more likely to beleive a site that presents both sides of an arguement then one that simply calls a company the brainchild of satan.

the company i worked for did some consulting for exxon an i worked at one of their refinerys last summer.. i made lots of cash.. they are awesome

yeah i worked for PIRG which is the NPO who runs exxpose exxon and I gotta say that even if half the stuff they say about exxon is true its still worth boycotting them

boycotting oil companies (not buying gas) would hurt us even more. oil companies dont give a shit about the consumer gas market. they make billions a day trading/selling to other companies that dont even let us see the oil in the first place.

i like exxon, they spend billions of dollers each year to find oil, and then spend billions of dollers to pump and refine and ship that oil. Just so i can drive my car places.

thats just the thing, Exxon Mobile invests most of its profits back into oil exploration (which is a risky thing since they sometimes dont find very much oil. The only reason Exxon makes so much money is becuase everyone uses a lot of oil, everyday. They only make an average profit of 10 cents on every gallon of gasoline that you buy.

i dunno about you guys, and i didn't visit that site, but i love mobil. they refill my Fizzinator for 99 cents. 64 ounces of whatever i want, whenever i want, for 99 cents. sounds good to me.
