i have a macbook pro...and i have a seperate screen that i want to hook up....how to i hook it up so i can use it as an "extension" of the desktop....in this clas i took we used macs with two screens for editing but i just got mine and i dont kno how to do it
There's no configuration needed - just plug in two monitors, then open the System Preferences, then Displays. Click on Arrangement and you'll be presented with options for the layout of the displays as well as mirrored or non-mirrored (extended, what you want) modes.
you should be able to on the pro.
I remember the powerbooks could do the desktop extension and iBooks could only do mirroring but there was software you could download that let you extend the desktop.
