someone just post the video of candide doing a d-spin 7 over chads... then you will understand!
rodeo... the jacob example was perfect. it's the opposite of a misty. a rodeo 540 is essentially a backflip with a 180 degree rotation in it BUT it's not exactly on axis, pretty close though (leg above head). simple!
D-spin... watch candide on chads but essentially the first 360 is undercorked the second is overcorked. it's kind of easier to just do them than describe them. compared with that cork 10 video were the skier stays off axis the same amount a d-spin gets more inverted the farther round you go.
you guys are getting too tech, a d-spin is a rushed back full, which means its a backflip 360 but because of the rush it goes off axis making it a 720. therefore a d-spin 7 is a backflip 720 done poorly
who the hell cares..... has it ever hit anyone that these names are so gay and if most skiers cant even tell the difference than its kinda pointless.... i think all these names are retarded just spin and flip and do some steezy spread eagles.
im sitting here with mike douglas... the inventor of the "d-spin". he says,"a d-spin is the trick that fills the space between a backfull and a cork 7."
ok i'm a bump skier and a dspin is just an ainverted cork this means that at one point in the cork your feet are higher than your head. it can be spun flatter (more like cork 7) or flipped very inverted almost like 'back full'!
Can I just say, when talking about D-spin 720 or Rodeo 540, the number at the end regards the amount of directional spin about the axis between your feet and your head. The first word is the type of back or forwards direction.
It just annoys me when people brag they can do a misty 5 but its only an overflip 180 etc. You dont add the two types of direction together.
a regular rodeo is a backflip and a 180. so when you do them it kind of looks like 90-lincoln-90. so when ad more spins to that you get higher spins with a rodeo.
