well i have a shouldur that dislocates just about everytime i do anything that puts stress on it (yawning for example). so naturaly its very rare that i spin more than a smooth 3 off a jump and dont dislocated. but heres the dilema: ski seasons over, i have until next november until it starts. do i get surgry now and ruin my summer( recovery is like 8 weeks no physical sports) or do i tough it out like i have the past 3 years. also i already have had to quit basketball and football, do i give up soccer and summersesh for the surgry?
do it now, you wouldnt want to get seriously injured skiing and miss the season, plus the summer is sick but not as sick as real snow in the winter is. just think, what would you rather miss, very little snow, a couple boxes and rails or a lot of snow and a whole park with lots of jumps rails and boxes? id rather get surgery now
well if i dont get it now id get it when i go to college... and ive been riding for 3 years with it, only now that ive started thoughing bigger spins has it become a problem.. also each time i dislocate it, i cant spin on rails or off jumps for a day, but i still ride
get the surgery dude, its not the hastle of having to hold back because of ur shoulder...and plus u could fuck it up for the rest of ur life and never be able to do anything physical in ur life again...ie: ski when ur 40 and have kids, so u will have to tell them about how u skiied and they wanna see u ski but u say that u didnt make a wise decision and so you cant do anything wityh them, like play catch or something...thats just my 2 cents
yeah get surgery man. I mean come on summer isnt that great anyways. WINTER IS SOOO SICK!!! and yeah like some of the other kids said it could get worse beyond repair. and then what. go for surgery man.
If you get it now you can spend the summer on NS and you can probably still walk and party and enjoy the summer without sports. Besides, your life will suck until college when you get it fixed.
do you have like mdsi in your shoulder, i have it but the doc says im still young and i can strengthen it back to normal, so i was in some intense pt for a while im takeing a 6 month break where i just do band exercises for a while then im going to go back and work hard with her and hopfully be able to ski with out it getting bad.
naw the capsule ring (laybrum i think) that keeps your soldure in socket has a tear in the bottom of it. so my shouldure will pop-out and roll around until it lines back up and natural muscle spasms though it back it... its never a very pleasant 15 seconds, but its happened well over 80 times now
