Port Forwarding Help?

K so I'm running Mac OS X 10.3.9.
I've got a Speedstream 5360 router, and a wireless network.

And I basically can't seem to get any port forwarding going on for my Azureus.

I opened up the port I had chosen in my firewall settings..but could not figure out how to configure my router. www.portforward.com doesn't even cover the Speedstream 5300 series.

So I ended up opening up my terminal(which allowed me to edit the Apache server running off my IP Adress), and typing in the '#Let "Insert IP Adress here"' command in the httpd configs, for the router to allow traffic through those adresses.

This also got me no where.


Any help would be much appreciated!

most routers have a default numarical IP that lets you log onto your routers settings.

Once you find that IP addy, you should be set (make sure to open UDP and the other one)



Who is your internet provider? We have a private service and he has a firewall at his end that i cant change the settings to so i always download with "yellow" faces on azerus....still comes through though

Check to make sure your ISP isn't blocking traffic on those ports. I know a lot of ISP's are doing it now sadly, lets hope it doesn't become a trend.

I went to a page to test to see what my IP adress was and came up with this: 67.124.149.215.

When typed into the browser, it revealed nothing. I think thats probably because of the router. But when I type in 10.0.1.4, the adress given in my Network settings, it brings up a page saying:

"If you can see this, it means that the installation of the Apache web server software on this system was successful. You may now add content to this directory and replace this page.

Seeing this instead of the website you expected?

Apache is the default software used for Mac servers. So to edit this, I went in as I said before, and edited this server so it would allow access of the Port number I put in my Azureus settings, which was 50323.

Nothing really happened when I did this..so I'm not sure if I did it right.



This is fucking annoying.

you can change the port thats azurus runs though if you ISP has blocked it

I called them up, they aren't blocking any ports.

What the fuck is this bulllllllllshit.

So it turns out, it wasn't the router. I neglected to even realize that the Airport I have was the problem. I had to use port forwarding through my Airport Extreame, and this fixed everything.
