yes it does. i recomed useing two kinds of the fence, the kind with the large holes and then on to of that layer the type with the small holes. be shure to set the layer up in a way so that no grass or waht ever else you are puting you setup on doesnt poke threw.

yea it is, as long as you make shure that no grass or what ever is sticking out, cause if it is then that will slow you down lots

I have no comment on the fencing.
But, The coefficient of friction between snow and waxed skis is from 0.03-0.05 (kinetic). So you need to find a material that will give you less then about .10 between your skis and the material.
You can find a lot of info online about the coefficient of friction between objects. Not sure what the fencing is made from (polyurethane?) but I'm sure you can find the coefficient of friction if you knew the material. Teflon is the best i've found so far at about .04

My down ramp of the drop in has two layers of orange plastic fence (just over plywood), but the transition and jump are covered in turf. The fencing gives you speed, but the turf gives you control for takeoff.

Wow thanks. I didn't know that. I'll get on trying to figure stuff out for my drop in ramp and set up.
