A-Basin Snow Conditions Video UPDATES May '06

I am starting this thread for ppl that plan to come to A-Basin before it closes june 4 (they close early this year to build some reastaurant on the mountain).
As of 5-22 the little park is gone, most of the stuff in the bigger park remains (see video). We got a couple of inches of snow yesterday. I posted two videos from today, look for "A-Basin" in the Big Mtn section. I might upload some more whenever conditions change.
Anybody coming this way that might need a place to crash for around $30 a night let me know. I got a 2BR suite at one of the Keyston resorts and the master bedroom is available during the week (my friends usually stay there on weekends).

I was there last satarday, and it was pretty nice, the ski patrol were closing a lot of runs that day. I'm going to try to make it out there for closing weekend.

The park should be ok till the end, they are keeping up whatever is left in the there. The jump has been closing early for several days earlier this week(around 2 p.m.). For the resto of the mountain, the whole side below East Wall (everything east of Lanawee lift) gets shut down daily around noon - it will probably be closed permanently within a few days. Cornices are also permanently closed. Park will be fine till the end though.

Video from the park on 5-27-06 is in the Edits/Shorts section. Starting today there is also about 20 feet of water skiing (natural) and ski patrol says they will let everybody slide Sunday.
Everything between East Wall and Lenawee lift has been permanently closed today.
