Im looking at Snowbird/Alta, Brighton/Solitude, vs. Breck and keystone and A-Basin. Which side has the better park, and which has the better back country
breck's park and keystone's park both kill the brighton solitude alta snowbird parks i dunno about back country i heard a-basin puts most to shame, but alta/snowbird has some amazing backcountry. i'd go colorado
id say utah, just think, alta/snowbird brighton and solitude and park city all within an hour of eachother, plus snowbasin and powder mountain up by ogden
WEll park City has an ammmaazing park. Brighton has siiick jibs just absolutely amazingly fun and the atmosphere is absolutely wonderful. Also Utah has the easiest and best backcountry around the world just about I am thinking. I live here and its just amazing. I couldnt be more greatful. also theres alot of weed here unlike what that chart showed.
summit has better parks but utah kiss summit in backcountry. Only because I ive in colorado I would go to utah. But if you go to colorado than dont go to summit if you want everything go to crested butte or something like that do reserarch
Dude the fact of it is, that either place could have a better snow year, you never know who's gonna have the snow, when they're gonna have it...i think you should pick somewhere to go, and just have a killer time hangin wherever you go, i love colorado cuz i live there, but if i got the opportunity to go to utah i would, but colorado will always be my home, i love it, never lived anywhere else, and never word...peace
yeah id say park is definatly better in colorado, mabye even backcountry too, cause crested butte, steamboat, vail, aspen, and silverton are all amazing for bc stuff. utah does have pretty good backcountry too though.
def utah less crowded a bad year in utah is still better than a good year in colorado snowwise. best park and pow in the country within a half hour of each other
Vail has top 10 park in the country and amazing back country @ the same resort.
oh and aspen X-games worthy park and sickest inbounds and outta bounds all within lik3 minutes of each other
YOU WILL NOT FIND AS MANY GOOD PARKS IN ANY STATE LIKE YOU WILL IN CO keystone, breck, winter park, vail, aspen, sometimes snowmass all have parks= to or better than pc but the scene out there is more developed
colorado's parks are just AMAZING. almost every single resort has a sick park. its so nice. i went to snowbird and PC this fall and snowbird had such good snow with fucking amazing terrain but colorado still has 300 sunny days a year and no mormons. im dumb and im going to utah for college.
did i say i know what it is? and how would you know if i know what backcountry is or not? i was just saying utah is a gay state, i didnt say the skiing was bad. so fuck you
so basically, now that i did something to make this thread retarted, i will try and redeem myself.
I say go to colorado and have a great time, obviously our beer and mormons ruin EVERYTHING that has to do with skiing, so go ahead, have a good time at crested butte JUST WATCH OUT FOR ROCKS AND YOUR LANDINGS WILL BE 2 INCHES DEEP!
wow you know what the hell your talking about, u must drop cliffs right under the lift, like those little 2 ft ones where all the tourists try to jump off, because last time i was there it hadnt snowed for two weeks, and everywhere was nearly 2 ft deep
but to answer your question. ive been to vail and telluride in colorado and alta/snowbird and deervalley in utah. i must say utah is about 100 times better. i would much rather go to utah. plus alta is about 45 minutes from the airport. and all the mountains are within an hour of salt lake city.
as a poster said in a shop at snowbird "skiing utah without properly tuned equipment, is like skiing colorado"
you dont like crested butte? or silverton? i guess the rest are ok but those two are awsome. i never said that the resorts ARE backcountry, i said they have good backcountry. name a resort in utah that has better "backcountry" than silverton. or are you talking about like out of resort snowmobile type stuff? and why do you have to have such a pussy little attitude about this anyway?
